PremiAir operates helicopters within a wide range of specialist applications utilising the significant operational skills and experience available across the company.
We have a number of twin turbine helicopters available for aerial photography, aerial filming and aerial news gathering / reporting. These aircraft are easily adapted to accept specialist camera mounts and the latest technology camera equipment. We use twin turbine helicopters as they provide additional safety margins in often demanding filming conditions.
Our experience has included aerial photography and filming over city centres including the centre of London (e.g. the 2005 London Live8 concert); and TV experience has included on-screen performances in "Auf Wiedersehen, Pet", "The Farm", "The Apprentice" and "Michael Winner's Dining Stars". A PremiAir helicopter (known as “Sunderbird One”) was also used by the UK’s Sun Newspaper for reporter transport and news gathering during the 2005 UK General Election campaign.
PremiAir helicopters are also in frequent use for aerial survey and aerial surveillance duties. Our market leading police air support experience makes us the natural choice for the latter, but we have also supported a number of different survey requirements and applications. Our extensive engineering design capability makes PremiAir an ideal partner to work with aerial survey companies looking to develop, flight test and operate new aerial survey equipment. Recently this has included high definition LIDAR aerial survey of topographical features including motorways, railways, coastlines, cities and airports.
